Effective date: Upon registration or continued use of the Afreelance platform.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Afreelance, a digital freelancing marketplace operated by Chrine Digital Agency (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Afreelance website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Afreelance, you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • Freelancer: A registered user offering services on the Platform.

  • Client: A registered user hiring or purchasing services through the Platform.

  • Account: A user’s personal profile on Afreelance.

  • Project / Gig: A service or task listed and provided through Afreelance.

  • Transaction: Any exchange of funds between a Client and a Freelancer facilitated by the Platform.

  • Wallet: The digital account used to manage user funds and transactions on Afreelance.

3. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if younger).

  • Provide accurate and verifiable registration information.

  • Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Any activity under your account is deemed authorized by you.

  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach at security@afreelancehub.com.

  • You agree not to share your account credentials or impersonate another user.


5. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

  • Use Afreelance only for lawful purposes.

  • Respect intellectual property rights.

  • Not upload or distribute malware, phishing content, or illegal materials.

  • Not attempt to hack, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to the system, user data, or payment mechanisms.

Violation may lead to immediate suspension, legal action, and forfeiture of funds.


6. Payments and Fees

  • All transactions are processed through the Afreelance payment gateway.

  • Accepted payment methods include MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money (XAF).

  • Afreelance charges a service fee on completed transactions (as specified in the Pricing Policy).

  • Freelancers are responsible for applicable taxes under their local jurisdiction.

Funds are released to Freelancers once Clients mark the project as completed or after the dispute period ends.


7. Subscription and Premium Accounts

Freelancers and Clients may upgrade to premium plans for enhanced visibility and access to advanced tools.

  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually.

  • All fees are non-refundable once the plan is activated.

  • Downgrading may cause loss of access to certain features or data.


8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a Client and a Freelancer:

  1. Parties must first attempt to resolve it amicably.

  2. If unresolved, either party may open a dispute ticket within Afreelance.

  3. The Afreelance Support Team will review all evidence and make a final decision.

All decisions made by Afreelance in dispute cases are final and binding.


9. Security and Data Protection

  • Afreelance uses SSL encryption, secure authentication, and firewall systems to protect user data.

  • Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.

  • Payment details are handled by PCI-DSS compliant third-party processors.

  • Users are encouraged to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) when available.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cameroon’s Law No. 2010/012 on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime, Afreelance ensures that personal data is collected, processed, and stored lawfully.


10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, code, and materials on Afreelance are owned or licensed by Chrine Digital Agency.
Users retain ownership of their original works but grant Afreelance a non-exclusive license to display and promote them on the Platform.


11. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate any account violating these Terms.

  • Remove any content deemed fraudulent, offensive, or harmful.

  • Withhold payments in cases of dispute or suspected fraud.

Upon termination, users lose access to their accounts, and funds under investigation may be frozen.


12. Limitation of Liability

Afreelance is not liable for:

  • Losses arising from user errors, negligence, or third-party actions.

  • Service interruptions, technical issues, or data breaches caused by external factors.

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.


13. Modifications

Afreelance may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
